SINGLES: Thanksgiving Survival is possible!

1. You are ok, single or not. If you don’t feel ok, go stand in front of a mirror, look into your own eyes and say “You are ok”. Say it about 100 times and you will feel more ok.

2. Do not apologize for being single or being any other way you are.

3. If you are going to be somewhere with all couples, bring another single friend along.

4. If you are going to be alone, go volunteer!

5. Make yourself as happy as possible by working on being grateful for what you have!

So what strategies are you going to use this Thanksgiving to make yourself happy? Talk to me below in the comments.

I have already begun making myself happy this year.
I do a lot for folks around the holidays and this year I decided early that am not going to put up with people insulting my methods.
Most of the time I handle folks that are too critical with graceful silence. I have found that people who are overly critical are just avoiding their own problems. Today I let someone know that it feels like being labeled a failure to hear such negative comments. The person apologized and I was able to get back to enjoying the ‘task at hand.
Thanks for the opportunity to share.
